Miss Bren returns to Mail Order Zombie in Episode 191! She joins Brother D for the voicemails and emails that have been building up since her absence last week, but before we get to the Feedback Discussion, we have some movie reviews to work through. Brother D considers placing the blame for his zombie movie addiction on Uncle Romero when he takes a look at 2012's Blaming George Romero (dir. Robert Lise), and MOZ Family Members Silent Death and Need-a-Nickname Scott submit separate reviews of Milla Jovovich's latest go-round with the Umbrella Corporation in Resident Evil: Retribution (dir. Paul W. S. Anderson). The winners of the Strippers vs. Werewolves Blu-ray contest are announced, Brother D runs out of breath talking about several upcoming zombie-centric (and werewolf-centric?) events happening in the next few weeks, Scott drops the latest and greatest in zombie news, somebody special celebrates a special anniversary, and we have an interview with editor James Beach and author William F. Even though Brother D spent the last weekend at the Rose City Comic-Con, zombies weren't far from his mind. When he wasn't interviewing comics creators Chris Kohler and Mark Ledford, or chatting with transmedia creator Steve Coker, he watched and reviewed the 2012 short movie Zombie Proof (dir. Ben Lambeth) and the 1964 and/or 1970 film I Eat Your Skin (dir. Del Tenney). And when he's not at the convention and he's not watching zombie movies, D has an announcement or two to make about some upcoming October events. After the Feedback Discussion, the show drops in on the Rose City Comic-Con panel Dex Dixon, Paranormal Dick: Concept to Creation and Beyond. |
