Another episode of Mail Order Zombie, another movie review . . . and a film festival . . . and revisiting two movies we've already talked about on the show before! Brother D checks out the rampaging 1980 movie Nightmare City (dir. Umberto Lenzi), and Need-a-Nickname Scott can finally check watching Helldriver (dir. Yoshihiro Nishimura) off his bucket list by checking out the Blu-ray at MOZ Central. Also, D and Scott crammed into the MOZ-Mobile with Miss Bren and Missing-a-Moniker Tracey and drove to the Evergreen State last weekend to check out the 2012 BoneBat Comedy of Horrors Film Festival where at least one of them rewatched DeadHeads (dir. Brett Pierce and Drew T. Pierce) to see how it plays with a crowd. The entire MOZ Foursome share their thoughts on the Festival before Miss Bren and Brother D hit the Feedback Discussion at the end of the show.

Mail Order Zombie: Episode 179 - Blood Splatter, Pretty Dead, The Hunger Games, Corman's World & The Americans
Mail Order Zombie . . . now with TIMECODES! The dust has finally settled after the Dead Letter Awards and we finally washed the vampire smell out of the carpet from last week's Mail Order Vampire fun, it's time to get back to business here at Mail Order Zombie. In Episode #179, we're packing in the reviews when Brother D takes a look at Blood Splatter: A Guide to Cinematic Zombie Violence, Gore and Special Effects by Craig W. Chenery while Silent Death reviews Jake Bible's Dead Letter Award-nominated novel The Americans. On the movie-front, Miss Bren gets dystopian on Brother D with some talk about The Hunger Games (dir. Gary Ross), D reviews the upcoming zombie film Pretty Dead (dir. Benjamin Wilkins), and we use the documentary Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel (dir. Alex Stapleton) as a palate cleanser. There are two (count 'em - TWO) contests running right now at Mail Order Zombie, and you'll have to listen to the Feedback Discussion to find out how you can win . . . stuff!

Does it suck? In this episode of Mail Order Vampire, Mr. 'dillo attempts to answer that question when he sits down for an in-depth look at the 2009 horror comedy Suck (dir. Rob Stefaniuk). Of course, that's after the latest in vampire movie news and media in the regular information round-up known as the Vampire Beat, and Sister Z joins Mr. 'dillo for this week's voicemails in the Feedback Discussion.
(Thanks to 'dillo and the gang for putting this wee bit of fun together for us! We'll be back with Mail Order Zombie next week, 4/12/12!)
